Bobby Jackson, vocals
Bobby has been a legend in Baltimore music for over 20 years.  As a singer and entertainer, he was a founding member and namesake of Bobby and the Believers.  Later, with groups including The Tempests and Bobby and the Braggers, he continued to thrill audiences all  along the east coast.  Now as leader, and male singer in Powerhouse, he is at the top of his career, wowing audiences whenever he performs.  Whether it's funking it up or selling a classic ballad, Bobby delivers excitement every time he steps up to a microphone.

Carla Hughes, vocals
Carla has been singing professionally in the Baltimore/DC area for the past 22 years. Known for her powerful & soulful voice, when Carla sings people stop and listen. Carla's roots date back to singing in soulful jazz clubs, fronting several of the area's highly regarded jazz groups including: Another Point of View, After Ours, and Mirage. In addition, she has contributed her talents to local and regional commercials and jingles.  It is her unmatched versatility that sets Carla apart. From Aretha to Diana Ross, Ella to Donna Summer -- She has the rare ability to sing anything and make it sound incredible. Carla puts her signature on each tune to make it her own, while keeping the dance floor packed.

Cire Jones, vocals
Cire defines energy on and off stage.  Originally from Boston where he fronted one of the premier acts in the state , he moved to this area in 2003.  An accomplished vocalist and dancer, he is equally at home singing Prince and Gnarls  Barkley or performing Michael Jackson and Fred Astaire moves on the dance floor.  You never know where he is going to be, and he is exciting to watch and hear.

LaNesha Alexander, vocals
There are only a few words to describe LaNesha: sweet,  soulful and artistic.  The latest addition to Powerhouse, LaNesha began singing at age 6 and is  bringing audiences to their feet with her amazing voice and performances.

The Band
Any band would be hard pressed to put together better sections then this.  The key is playing together, knowing the music, and knowing each other.  This is not a pickup band with add-on horns and a bass player du jour.  When Bobby gets ready to kick off a song,  he sees the same confident players looking back, every time, ready to go.

Gerard Moore, bass - 1998.

Toured with Bobby Brown.  Started in the back next to the drummer, moved out front on third gig - watch him and you will see why.  Gerard is the glue that holds the band together.

Jeff Chiaverini, trombone, leader of horn section - 1999.  Performance degree from Towson.  Performed and recorded with Jackson Brown, Little Feat, Bela Fleck, Dennis Chambers, Randy Brecker and a dozen more.  In demand studio musician and full time music educator, adjudicator and clinician.

Dane Williams, guitar, vocals - 2000.  Born and raised in Danville, Va. Dane relocated to Maryland in 1981 to pursue his musical career. Playing lead and acoustic guitars with many top bands of the area, Dane continued to hone his guitar, vocal and showmanship skills. He has been a guitar instructor, has been involved in many studio projects and recorded his first album at the age of 17. Since joining Powerhouse in 2000, Dane continues to strive to make each night a memorable musical experience.

Brian Hughes, percussion - 2007. After an almost six year hiatus, in May 2007 Brian returned to Powerhouse. Originally with the group from ’96 to ‘01, Brian brings a keen ear for pitch to the drum chair - his day gig is running his family owned business as a piano technician. His professional musical career spans twenty years, playing with the likes of Vinnie and the Hardtimes, the Kajun Kelley band, and Doug Segree. His ability to authentically play a wide range of styles is well suited for Powerhouse, where he puts the band in a groove and locks it down.

Barry Caudill, tenor, alto sax - 2006.
Barry is yet another product of Hank Levy and the Towson State University Jazz Ensemble. He has been playing professionally for over twenty. During that time he has played numerous styles with very divergent types of groups. From touring North America, Japan and Europe with the Glenn Miller Orchestra to performing with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra to playing and recording with Crack The Sky.

Todd Butler, trumpet - 2005.  Originally from Pottstown, PA, Todd Butler migrated to Baltimore to attend Towson University. He received a Bachelors degree in trumpet performance and a Masters degree in jazz performance from Towson and was awarded several music scholarships.  Todd has established himself as a versatile performer and teacher on the Baltimore scene. In his sixteen years as a professional musician, Todd has become one of the top commercial trumpet players in the Baltimore/D.C. area, performing many styles of music.

Moe Daniels, keyboards and vocals - 2007.  Moe has studied Music throughout the years in the Baltimore-Washington Area studying at UM as a Music Major, Antioch University for Special Music Courses in Ensemble/Big Band Arranging and UB for Special Drama Courses.  He left to go to NYC to train as a Record Producer/Arranger under Toni Bonjovi (Engineer for Motown/Star Wars).
I've worked with Isaac Hayes, The Spinners, Nancy Wilson, Najee, Skip Scarborough, Michael Henderson, Ray Parker Jr, Jean Carne, Kim Waters, The Emotions, Billy Paul, Anita Baker, George Duke, Howard Hewett, George Johnson, (The Johnson Brothers), Dougie Fresh, Keith Sweat and Many others.  Moe has worked in Paris, Germany, Bosnia, Kosovo, Spain, Italy, Aruba, Vegas, Africa, Canada (Vancouver, Toronto, Ontario, Quebec), Turkey, and most of the US.  I think that's enough.

In memorial - May 10, 2007

Nathaniel “Crocket” Wilkie

Crocket recorded professionally since he was a teenager. An original member of Gypsy Lane, a group of studio musicians that recorded for acts like the Ritchie Family and the Village People, Crockett’s career placed him in the company of some of music’s greatest. He spent 21 years working with Patti Labelle and later toured with Najee, Jeff Majors and others. On the keyboard, he was a force.  All that knew him, loved him.
